The Lanoha Nurseries Property Maintenance Manager position is for a career seeking individual that is a proven leader in the landscape maintenance and turf industry.  Full time / year round employment with full time benefits.  Responsible for managing and developing the foreman and crew teams who take care of premier residential and commercial properties throughout the Omaha Metro Area.  The Lanoha Turf & Landscape Maintenance team is provided with highly organized property maintenance routes and top of the line trucks, trailers, and equipment.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of turf maintenance 
  • Extensive knowledge of zone 5 common perennial and shrub plant materials and maintenance  
  • Landscape industry operations management experience
  • Team leadership experience in turf care, grounds maintenance, and landscaping
  • Excellent communication skills; internal and external communications and representation of the company  
  • Flexibility in scheduling; ability to work overtime 
  • Valid Driver’s License 
  • Pesticide Applicator License
  • Spanish Speaking is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage teams and processes to provide lawn and landscape services for residential and commercial properties throughout the Omaha Metro area.  
  • Team building.  Mentoring, training, and managing a department of 40+ employees.
  • Operation of industry leading commercial grade turf & property maintenance equipment. Equipment maintenance.  Training team members how to safely operate mowers, equipment, and handheld tools.  
  • Perform and train team members best practices for mowing, line trimming, leaf blowing, debris removal, weeding, edging, hedging, raking and mulch installation
  • Perform and train team members best practices for fertilization, weed control, insect control, and plant disease control.  
  • Manage daily preparation of trucks, equipment, and inventory. Training teams on efficient loading & unloading strategies, inventory control, and equipment securing strategies
  • Quality assurance and client support.  Real time problem solving and resolutions for client inquiries
  • Winter: Managing teams and processes for snow removal
